At Parbar westward
A gate at the western wall; the Jewish writers generally interpret it an outward place, but Dr. Lightfoot ^F3 thinks it is the same with Parvar, which signifies suburbs, ( 2 Kings 23:11 ) , and which agrees with the description Josephus ^F4 gives of one of the western gates, that it led to the suburbs:

four at the causeway;
by which was the gate Shallecheth, ( 1 Chronicles 26:16 )

and two at Parbar;
the gate before mentioned.

16 书 聘 与 何 萨 守 西 门 ， 在 靠 近 沙 利 基 门 、 通 着 往 上 去 的 街 道 上 ， 班 与 班 相 对 。

17 每 日 东 门 有 六 个 利 未 人 ， 北 门 有 四 个 ， 南 门 有 四 个 ， 库 房 有 两 个 ， 又 有 两 个 轮 班 替 换 。

18 在 西 面 街 道 上 有 四 个 ， 在 游 廊 上 有 两 个 。

19 以 上 是 可 拉 子 孙 和 米 拉 利 子 孙 守 门 的 班 次 。

20 利 未 子 孙 中 有 亚 希 雅 掌 管 　 神 殿 的 府 库 和 圣 物 的 府 库 。
