1 Kings 11:17

That Hadad fled
While Joab was burying the slain:

he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him;
who either was a king, and these some of his officers and courtiers; or however was of the royal family, and had an equipage, and these some of them:

to go into Egypt;
that was their view at first setting out, where they might hope for help, at least shelter:

Hadad being yet a little child;
whom his father's servants hid, while Joab was making the slaughter he did, and took the opportunity of fleeing with him while he was burying the dead.

15 先 前 大 卫 攻 击 以 东 ， 元 帅 约 押 上 去 葬 埋 阵 亡 的 人 ， 将 以 东 的 男 丁 都 杀 了 。

16 约 押 和 以 色 列 众 人 在 以 东 住 了 六 个 月 ， 直 到 将 以 东 的 男 丁 尽 都 剪 除 。

18 他 们 从 米 甸 起 行 ， 到 了 巴 兰 ； 从 巴 兰 带 着 几 个 人 来 到 埃 及 见 埃 及 王 法 老 ； 法 老 为 他 派 定 粮 食 ， 又 给 他 房 屋 田 地 。

19 哈 达 在 法 老 面 前 大 蒙 恩 惠 ， 以 致 法 老 将 王 后 答 比 匿 的 妹 子 赐 他 为 妻 。
