12 那 时 ， 巴 比 伦 王 巴 拉 但 的 儿 子 比 罗 达 ． 巴 拉 但 听 见 希 西 家 病 而 痊 愈 ， 就 送 书 信 和 礼 物 给 他 。

At that time Berodachbaladan,.... He is called Merodachbaladan, Isa 39:1, so here in the Septuagint, Syriac, and Arabic versions; See Gill on "Isa 39:1"; and by Metasthenes {z} his father is called Merodach, and he Ben Merodach, who reigned twenty one years, and his father fifty two; from hence to the end of 2 Kings 20:12 the same account is given in the same words as in Isa 39:1 throughout, except in 2 Kings 20:13, where it is, "hearkened unto them," and there, "glad of them"; heard the letter the ambassadors brought with pleasure; see the notes there. 10 希 西 家 回 答 说 ： 日 影 向 前 进 十 度 容 易 ， 我 要 日 影 往 後 退 十 度 。

11 先 知 以 赛 亚 求 告 耶 和 华 ， 耶 和 就 使 亚 哈 斯 的 日 晷 向 前 进 的 日 影 ， 往 後 退 了 十 度 。

12 那 时 ， 巴 比 伦 王 巴 拉 但 的 儿 子 比 罗 达 ． 巴 拉 但 听 见 希 西 家 病 而 痊 愈 ， 就 送 书 信 和 礼 物 给 他 。

13 希 西 家 听 从 使 者 的 话 ， 就 把 他 宝 库 的 金 子 、 银 子 、 香 料 、 贵 重 的 膏 油 ， 和 他 武 库 的 一 切 军 器 ， 并 他 所 有 的 财 宝 ， 都 给 他 们 看 。 他 家 中 和 他 全 国 之 内 ， 希 西 家 没 有 一 样 不 给 他 们 看 的 。

14 於 是 先 知 以 赛 亚 来 见 希 西 家 王 ， 问 他 说 ： 这 些 人 说 甚 麽 ？ 他 们 从 哪 里 来 见 你 ？ 希 西 家 说 ： 他 们 从 远 方 的 巴 比 伦 来 。
