33 於 是 约 押 去 见 王 ， 将 这 话 奏 告 王 ， 王 便 叫 押 沙 龙 来 。 押 沙 龙 来 见 王 ， 在 王 面 前 俯 伏 於 地 ， 王 就 与 押 沙 龙 亲 嘴 。

2 Samuel 14:33

So Joab came to the king, and told him
What Absalom had said to him:

and when he had called for Absalom;
sent messengers to his house to order him to come to him:

he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before
the king;
made a very reverend bow to him, according to the custom of those times, throwing himself at his feet in great submission to him:

and the king kissed Absalom;
in token of his reconciliation to him; which laid the foundation of his after troubles from him, related in the following chapters.

31 於 是 约 押 起 来 ， 到 了 押 沙 龙 家 里 ， 问 他 说 ： 你 的 仆 人 为 何 放 火 烧 了 我 的 田 呢 ？

32 押 沙 龙 回 答 约 押 说 ： 我 打 发 人 去 请 你 来 ， 好 托 你 去 见 王 ， 替 我 说 ： 我 为 何 从 基 述 回 来 呢 ？ 不 如 仍 在 那 里 。 现 在 要 许 我 见 王 的 面 ； 我 若 有 罪 ， 任 凭 王 杀 我 就 是 了 。
