28 我 看 的 时 候 并 没 有 人 ； 我 问 的 时 候 ， 他 们 中 间 也 没 有 谋 士 可 以 回 答 一 句 。

Isaiah 41:28

For I beheld, and there was no man
Among all the Pagan priests and prophets, that could foretell things to come; or could prove that their idols did or could say anything in favour of them: even amongst them, and there was no counsellor:
none that could be advocates for these idols, and plead their cause; or could give any good advice and counsel to persons that needed it, and who applied to them or their idols for it: that, when I asked of them, could answer a word;
when asked what they had to say on behalf of their gods they worshipped, were dumb and speechless; moreover, all this may be said of the idols themselves, that there was none among them that could foretell a future event, or give any wholesome counsel to their worshippers, or could say anything in their own defence; and therefore, to close the controversy, the following sentence is pronounced.

26 谁 从 起 初 指 明 这 事 ， 使 我 们 知 道 呢 ？ 谁 从 先 前 说 明 ， 使 我 们 说 他 不 错 呢 ？ 谁 也 没 有 指 明 ， 谁 也 没 有 说 明 。 谁 也 没 有 听 见 你 们 的 话 。

27 我 首 先 对 锡 安 说 ： 看 哪 ， 我 要 将 一 位 报 好 信 息 的 赐 给 耶 路 撒 冷 。

28 我 看 的 时 候 并 没 有 人 ； 我 问 的 时 候 ， 他 们 中 间 也 没 有 谋 士 可 以 回 答 一 句 。

29 看 哪 ， 他 们 和 他 们 的 工 作 都 是 虚 空 ， 且 是 虚 无 。 他 们 所 铸 的 偶 像 都 是 风 ， 都 是 虚 的 。
