26 So regierte David, der Sohn Isais, über ganz Israel.
27 Und die Tage, die er über ganz Israel regierte, waren vierzig Jahre; zu Hebron regierte er sieben Jahre, und zu Jerusalem regierte er dreiunddreißig Jahre.
28 Und er starb in gutem Alter, satt an Tagen, Reichtum und Ehre. Und Salomo, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.
29 Und die Geschichte des Königs David, die erste und die letzte, siehe, sie ist geschrieben in der Geschichte Samuels, des Sehers, und in der Geschichte Nathans, des Propheten, und in der Geschichte Gads, des Schauers;
30 nebst seiner ganzen Regierung und seiner Macht, und den Zeiten, die über ihn und über Israel und über alle Königreiche der Länder ergangen sind.

INTRODUCTION TO 1 CHRONICLES 29

This chapter relates how largely and liberally David, besides what he had before done, and his princes, offered towards defraying the expenses of building the temple, 1Ch 29:1-8 and the joy and thankfulness that he and his people expressed on that account, attended with prayers for Solomon, and offering sacrifices unto the Lord, 1Ch 29:9-21 and the chapter is closed, and so the book, with an account of the second unction of Solomon, the placing him on the throne, and the submission of all ranks of men unto him, and of the death of David, 1Ch 29:22-30.
