Luke 21:25

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon
They shall be darkened, and suffer very strange and surprising eclipses:

and in the stars;
they shall fall from heaven, as in ( Matthew 24:29 ) and so the Ethiopic version reads here: all which, as it may be understood in a literal sense, so it may likewise in figurative and mystical one, and be interpreted of the changes there should be in the Jewish state; (See Gill on Matthew 24:29). 23 Wehe aber den Schwangeren und den Säugenden in jenen Tagen! Denn große Not wird in dem Lande sein, und Zorn über dieses Volk.

24 Und sie werden fallen durch die Schärfe des Schwertes und gefangen weggeführt werden unter alle Nationen; und Jerusalem wird zertreten werden von den Nationen, bis die Zeiten der Nationen erfüllt sein werden.

25 Und es werden Zeichen sein an Sonne und Mond und Sternen, und auf der Erde Bedrängnis der Nationen in Ratlosigkeit bei brausendem Meer und Wasserwogen;

26 indem die Menschen verschmachten vor Furcht und Erwartung der Dinge, die über den Erdkreis kommen, denn die Kräfte der Himmel werden erschüttert werden.

27 Und dann werden sie den Sohn des Menschen kommen sehen in einer Wolke mit Macht und großer Herrlichkeit.
