1 John 3:1-2

1 See ¹what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called ²children of God; and so we are. The reason why ³the world does not know us is that ⁴it did not know him.

2 Beloved, we are ⁵God’s children ⁶now, and what we will be ⁷has not yet appeared; but we know that ⁸when he appears^{[a] 9}we shall be like him, because ¹⁰we shall see him as he is.
