1 Kings 6:34

And the two doors [were of] fir tree
the posts were of olive, but the doors of fir, and they were both folding doors, as appears by what follows:

the two leaves of the one door [were] folding, and the two leaves of
the other door [were] folding;
which, taking up less room, made the passage wider, see ( Ezekiel 41:24 ) .

32 E sopra quelle due reggi di legno di ulivo, fece intagliare delle figure di Cherubini, e di palme, e di fiori aperti, e li coperse d’oro; e distese l’oro sopra i Cherubini, e sopra le palme.
33 Fece ancora all’entrata del Tempio degli stipiti di legno di ulivo, d’una quarta parte;
34 e due reggi di legno di abete, ciascuna delle quali si ripiegava in due.
35 E vi fece intagliare de’ Cherubini, e delle palme, e de’ fiori aperti, e li coperse d’oro apposto sottilmente sopra gl’intagli.
36 Edificò eziandio il cortile di dentro, a tre ordini di pietre pulite, ed un ordine di travatura di cedro.
