11 e gliele porse, acciocchè mangiasse. Ma egli la prese, e le disse: Vieni, giaci meco, sorella mia.

2 Samuel 13:11

And when she had brought [them] unto him to eat
Not only into the chamber, but to the side of the bed or couch where he had laid himself, or sat, in a proper position to answer his purpose:

he took hold of her;
by the arm, or threw his hands about her:

and said unto her, come, lie with me, my sister;
one would think the relation he observes she stood in to him would have checked him from making so vile a motion.

9 Poi prese la padella, e le versò davanti a lui; ma egli rifiutò di mangiare, e disse: Fate uscir tutti d’appresso a me. E tutti uscirono d’appresso a lui.
10 Allora Amnon disse a Tamar: Recami questa vivanda nella cameretta, ed io prenderò cibo di tua mano. Tamar adunque prese le frittelle che avea fatte, e le recò ad Amnon suo fratello, nella cameretta,
11 e gliele porse, acciocchè mangiasse. Ma egli la prese, e le disse: Vieni, giaci meco, sorella mia.
12 Ed ella gli disse: No, fratello mio, non violarmi; perciocchè non si deve far così in Israele: non far questa scelleratezza.
13 Ed io, dove caccerei il mio vituperio? e tu saresti reputato uno de’ più scellerati uomini che sieno in Israele; ma ora parlane, ti prego, al re; perciocchè egli non mi ti rifiuterà.
