Ezechiele 5:13

13 E il mio cruccio si adempierà, ed io acqueterò l’ira mia sopra loro, e mi appagherò; ed essi conosceranno che io, il Signore, ho parlato nella mia gelosia, quando avrò adempiuta l’ira mia sopra loro.

Ezekiel 5:13

Thus shall mine anger be accomplished
Finished, perfected, consummated, by bringing the above judgments upon them, pestilence, famine, and sword, and by scattering them to every wind: what had been threatened long, and only some drops of it were let fall in times past, now was poured forth to the uttermost: and I will cause my fury to rest upon them;
to continue and abide upon them, and not move, at least for the space of threescore and ten years; see ( Zechariah 1:12 ) ; and I will be comforted;
by taking vengeance on them; so satisfying his justice, and easing him of his enemies; see ( Isaiah 1:24 ) ; a speech after the manner of men; who, when they have been affronted, and have avenged themselves, are easy in their minds, and satisfied: and they shall know that I the Lord have spoken [it] in my zeal;
that is, they shall find by experience that what the Lord had spoken by his prophets, and had threatened to bring upon them, was said in earnest, and arose from a jealousy for his own glory; this will be a clear case, and out of question: when I have accomplished my fury in them;

11 Per tanto, come io vivo, dice il Signore Iddio, perchè tu hai contaminato il mio santuario con tutti i tuoi fatti esecrabili, e con tutte le tue abbominazioni, io altresì ti raderò, e il mio occhio non perdonerà, ed io ancora non risparmierò.

12 Una terza parte di te morrà di pestilenza, e sarà consumata di fame, nel mezzo di te; e un’altra terza parte caderà per la spada d’intorno a te; ed io dispergerò a tutti i venti l’altra terza parte, e sguainerò la spada dietro a loro.

13 E il mio cruccio si adempierà, ed io acqueterò l’ira mia sopra loro, e mi appagherò; ed essi conosceranno che io, il Signore, ho parlato nella mia gelosia, quando avrò adempiuta l’ira mia sopra loro.

14 Ed io ti metterò in deserto, e in vituperio, fra le genti che son d’intorno a te, alla vista d’ogni passante.

15 E il tuo vituperio ed obbrobrio, sarà in ammaestramento, e in istupore alle genti, che son d’intorno a te; quando io avrò eseguiti i miei giudicii sopra te, con ira, con cruccio, e con castigamenti d’indegnazione. Io, il Signore, ho parlato.
