13 E farò venir sopra quel paese tutte le cose che io ho pronunziate contro ad esso; tutto ciò che è scritto in questo libro, ciò che Geremia ha profetizzato contro a tutte le genti.

Jeremiah 25:13

And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have
pronounced against it
By his prophets, and particularly by Jeremiah, as follows; for not one word that is spoken by the Lord, either in a way of promise or threatening, shall fail; his truth, power, and faithfulness, are engaged to accomplish all: [even] all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath
prophesied against all the nations;
the Egyptians, Philistines, Moabites, Edomites, Arabians, Persians, and also the Babylonians, in ( Jeremiah 46:1-51:64 ) , which prophecies, in the Greek version, immediately follow here, though in a confused manner; where some have thought they might be more regularly placed than as they are in the Hebrew copies, at the end of the book; but of this there seems to be no absolute necessity.

11 E tutto questo paese sarà ridotto in deserto, e in desolazione; e queste genti serviranno al re di Babilonia settant’anni.

12 E quando i settant’anni saran compiuti, io farò punizione sopra il re di Babilonia, e sopra quella gente, dice il Signore, della loro iniquità; ed anche sopra il paese de’ Caldei, e lo ridurrò in desolazioni perpetue.

13 E farò venir sopra quel paese tutte le cose che io ho pronunziate contro ad esso; tutto ciò che è scritto in questo libro, ciò che Geremia ha profetizzato contro a tutte le genti.

14 Perciocchè anche genti grandi, e re possenti li ridurranno in servitù; ed io renderò loro la retribuzione secondo i fatti loro, e secondo le opere delle lor mani.

15 Perciocchè il Signore Iddio d’Israele mi ha detto così: Prendi di man mia questa coppa del vino dell’ira, e danne bere a tutte le genti, alle quali io ti mando.
