49 Perciocchè io non ho parlato da me medesimo; ma il Padre che mi ha mandato è quello che mi ha ordinato ciò ch’io debbo dire e parlare.

John 12:49

For I have not spoken of myself
As man, or as separate from his Father; his doctrine was not human, but divine, and therefore a rejection of it cannot escape notice at the future judgment:

but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment what I should
say, and what I should speak;
Christ, as man, had his mission, and commission, and his instructions from his Father to preach the Gospel unto men; he was anointed for it by the Holy Ghost; he was enjoined the preaching of it by his Father, and the several doctrines he published were delivered him by him; see ( John 8:28 ) ( 17:8 ) .

47 E se alcuno ode le mie parole, e non crede, io non lo giudico; perciocchè io non son venuto a giudicare il mondo, anzi a salvare il mondo.

48 Chi mi sprezza, e non riceve le mie parole, ha chi lo giudica; la parola che io ho ragionata sarà quella che lo giudicherà nell’ultimo giorno.

49 Perciocchè io non ho parlato da me medesimo; ma il Padre che mi ha mandato è quello che mi ha ordinato ciò ch’io debbo dire e parlare.

50 Ed io so che il suo comandamento è vita eterna; le cose adunque ch’io ragiono, così le ragiono come il Padre mi ha detto.
