Isaia 65:7

7 Le vostre iniquità, e l’iniquità de’ vostri padri, che han fatti profumi sopra i monti, e mi hanno villaneggiato sopra i colli, son tutte insieme, ha detto il Signore; perciò, io misurerò loro in seno il pagamento di ciò che han fatto fin dal principio.

Isaiah 65:7

Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together
(saith the Lord)
That is, the punishment both of the one and of the other; these being alike, and continued from father to son, and approved of, and committed by one generation after another, till the measure was filled up; and then the recompence of reward is given for all of them together at once: which have burnt incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills; where they offered incense and other sacrifices to idols, which was interpreted by the Lord as a blaspheming and reproaching of him; see ( Isaiah 57:7 ) ( Jeremiah 2:20 ) ( 3:6 ) : therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom;
punish them for their former sins as well as their latter ones, and both together.

5 Che dice: Fatti in là, non accostarti a me; perciocchè io son più santo di te. Tali sono un fumo al mio naso, un fuoco ardente tuttodì.

6 Ecco, tutto questo è scritto nel mio cospetto; io non mi tacerò, ma ne farò la retribuzione; ne farò loro la retribuzione in seno.

8 Così ha detto il Signore: Siccome, quando si trova del mosto ne’ grappoli, si dice: Non guastar la vigna, perciocchè vi è della benedizione; così farò io per amor de’ miei servitori, per non guastare ogni cosa.

9 E farò uscire di Giacobbe una progenie, e di Giuda de’ possessori de’ miei monti; ed i miei eletti possederanno la terra, ed i miei servitori abiteranno in essa.
