Luke 16:17

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass
This is said by Christ, lest it should be thought by his saying, that the law and the prophets were until John, that they were no longer, nor of any more use; but were now abrogated and laid aside; whereas heaven and earth might sooner pass away, and the whole frame of nature be dissolved:

than one tittle of the law to fail;
which, and the prophets, in all the precepts, promises, types, figures, prophecies thereof, had their full accomplishment in the person, miracles, obedience, sufferings, and death of Christ; see ( Matthew 5:18 ) .

15 Ed egli disse loro: Voi siete que’ che giustificate voi stessi davanti agli uomini, ma Iddio conosce i vostri cuori; perciocchè quel ch’è eccelso appo gli uomini è cosa abominevole nel cospetto di Dio.

16 La legge e i profeti sono stati infino a Giovanni; da quel tempo il regno di Dio è evangelizzato, ed ognuno vi entra per forza.

18 Chiunque manda via la sua moglie, e ne sposa un’altra, commette adulterio; e chiunque sposa la donna mandata via dal marito commette adulterio.
