Luke 6:2

And certain of the Pharisees said unto them
Unto the disciples. The Evangelists Matthew and Mark say, that they said this to Jesus: no doubt but they said it to both, first to one, and then to the other; probably last of all to Christ, who returned an answer to it:

why do ye that which is not lawful on the sabbath day?
as to pluck ears of corn, and rub them, and eat them; (See Gill on Matthew 12:2)

1 OR avvenne, nel primo sabato dal dì appresso la pasqua, ch’egli camminava per le biade; e i suoi discepoli svellevano delle spighe, e le mangiavano, sfregandole con le mani.

2 Ed alcuni de’ Farisei disser loro: Perchè fate ciò che non è lecito di fare nei giorni di sabato?

3 E Gesù, rispondendo, disse loro: Non avete voi pur letto ciò che fece Davide, quando ebbe fame, egli, e coloro ch’eran con lui?

4 Come egli entrò nella casa di Dio, e prese i pani di presentazione, e ne mangiò, e ne diede ancora a coloro ch’eran con lui; i quali però non è lecito di mangiare, se non a’ sacerdoti soli?

5 Poi disse loro: Il Figliuol dell’uomo è Signore eziandio del sabato.
