Mark 13:10

And the Gospel must first be published among all nations.
] The Syriac version reads, "my Gospel"; the Gospel which Christ was the author, subject, and preacher of; this "must be published". There was a necessity of the promulgation of it by the will of God, the command and commission of Christ; and for the gathering in of the Jews, that were the elect of God, "among all nations" of the world, especially in the Roman empire; and that "first", or before the destruction of Jerusalem; (See Gill on Matthew 24:14).

8 Perciocchè una gente si leverà contro all’altra, ed un regno contro all’altro; e vi saranno tremoti in ogni luogo, e fami, e turbamenti.

9 Queste cose saranno solo principii di dolori; or prendete guardia a voi stessi; perciocchè sarete messi in man de’ concistori, e sarete battuti nelle raunanze; e sarete fatti comparire davanti a’ rettori, ed ai re, per cagion mia, in testimonianza a loro.

10 E conviene che prima l’evangelo sia predicato fra tutte le genti.

11 Ora, quando vi meneranno, per mettervi nelle lor mani, non istate innanzi in sollecitudine di ciò che avrete a dire, e non lo premeditate; anzi, dite ciò che vi sarà dato in quello stante; perciocchè non siete voi que’ che parlate, anzi lo Spirito Santo.

12 Ora il fratello darà il fratello alla morte, e il padre il figliuolo; e i figliuoli si leveranno contro a’ padri e le madri, e li faranno morire.
