and said, "Remembernow, OLORD, I beseech You, how I have walkedbefore You in truth and with a wholeheart, and have donewhat is good in Your sight." And Hezekiahweptbitterly.

Then the word of the LORDcame to Isaiah, saying,

"Go and say to Hezekiah, 'Thussays the LORD, the God of your fatherDavid, "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will addfifteen*years to your life.

"Behold, I will cause the shadow on the stairway, which has gonedown with the sun on the stairway of Ahaz, to gobacktensteps." So the sun's shadow wentbacktensteps on the stairway on which it had gonedown.

"Like a shepherd'stent my dwelling is pulled up and removed from me; As a weaver I rolled up my life. He cuts me off from the loom; From dayuntilnight You make an end of me.
