Zedekiah was twenty-one*yearsold when he becameking, and he reignedeleven*years in Jerusalem; and his mother'sname was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

For through the anger of the LORD this came about in Jerusalem and Judahuntil He cast them out from His presence. And Zedekiahrebelled against the king of Babylon.

Now it came about in the ninthyear of his reign, on the tenth day of the tenthmonth, that Nebuchadnezzarking of Babyloncame, he and all his army, againstJerusalem, campedagainst it and built a siegewallallaround it.

Then the city was broken into, and all the men of warfled and wentforth from the city at night by way of the gatebetween the two wallswhich was by the king'sgarden, though the Chaldeans were allaround the city. And they went by way of the Arabah.

Then he blinded the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylonbound him with bronzefetters and brought him to Babylon and put him in prison*until the day of his death.

Now on the tenth day of the fifthmonth, which was the nineteenth*year of KingNebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard, who was in the service* of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guardcarriedaway into exilesome of the poorest of the people, the rest of the people who were left in the city, the deserterswho had deserted to the king of Babylon and the rest of the artisans.

Now the bronzepillarswhich belonged to the house of the LORD and the stands and the bronzesea, which were in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeansbroke in pieces and carriedall their bronze to Babylon.

The captain of the guard also took away the bowls, the firepans, the basins, the pots, the lampstands, the pans and the drinkofferingbowls, what was finegold and what was finesilver.

The twopillars, the onesea, and the twelve*bronzebulls that were under the sea, and the stands, whichKingSolomon had made for the house of the LORD -the bronze of allthesevessels was beyondweight.

As for the pillars, the height of eachpillar was eighteen*cubits, and it was twelve*cubits in circumference* and fourfingers in thickness, and hollow.

Now a capital of bronze was on it; and the height of eachcapital was fivecubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capitalallaround, all of bronze. And the secondpillar was like these, including pomegranates.

He also took from the cityoneofficialwho was overseer of the men of war, and seven of the king'sadvisers*who were found in the city, and the scribe of the commander of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixtymen of the people of the land who were found in the midst of the city.

in the twenty-third*year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guardcarried into exile745***Jewishpeople; there were 4,600**persons in all.

Now it came about in the thirty-seventh*year of the exile of Jehoiachinking of Judah, in the twelfth*month, on the twenty-fifth* of the month, that Evil-merodachking of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, showedfavor* to Jehoiachinking of Judah and brought him out of prison*.
