3 Y buscaron una joven hermosa por todo el término de Israel, y hallaron a Abisag, la sunamita, y la trajeron al rey

1 Kings 1:3

So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of
Israel
Not only a damsel, but a beautiful one, that she might be the more acceptable to the king; who otherwise, if deformed and ugly, would not have endured her in his sight, or received at her hands, and much less suffered her to lie in his bosom:

and found Abishag a Shunammite;
a native of the city Shunem, a city in the tribe of Issachar, ( Joshua 19:18 ) ;

and brought her to the king;
for his approbation of her, and to make her his concubine wife, as he did.

1 Cuando el rey David era viejo, y entrado en días, le cubrían de vestidos, mas no se calentaba
2 Le dijeron, por tanto, sus siervos: Busquen a mi señor el rey una joven virgen, para que esté delante del rey, y lo caliente, y duerma a su lado, y calentará a nuestro señor el rey
3 Y buscaron una joven hermosa por todo el término de Israel, y hallaron a Abisag, la sunamita, y la trajeron al rey
4 Y la joven era muy hermosa, la cual calentaba al rey, y le servía; mas el rey nunca la conoció
5 Entonces Adonías hijo de Haguit se levantó, diciendo: Yo reinaré. Y se hizo de carros y gente de a caballo, y cincuenta varones que corrieran delante de él
