16 Y el rey le dijo: ¿Hasta cuántas veces he de conjurarte que no me digas sino la verdad en el nombre del SEÑOR

1 Kings 22:16

And the king said unto him, how many times shall I adjure
thee
Not that he had as yet adjured him at all, or not till now; but he asks him how often he must be obliged to do it; and now he adjures him once for all, that he might not be forced to repeat it:

that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the
Lord?
for he observed he did not speak in the name of the Lord before, and what he said was not in a serious but ludicrous manner, and not to be regarded as truth.

14 Y Micaías respondió: Vive el SEÑOR, que todo lo que el SEÑOR me hablare, eso diré

15 Vino, pues, al rey, y el rey le dijo: Micaías, ¿iremos a pelear contra Ramot de Galaad, o la dejaremos? Y él respondió: Sube, que serás prosperado, y el SEÑOR la entregará en mano del rey

17 Entonces él dijo: Yo vi a todo Israel esparcido por los montes, como ovejas que no tienen pastor; y el SEÑOR dijo: Estos no tienen señor: vuélvase cada uno a su casa en paz

18 Y el rey de Israel dijo a Josafat: ¿No te lo había yo dicho? Ninguna cosa buena profetizará él acerca de mí, sino solamente mal
