She saith unto him,Yea,Lord:Ibelievethatthouart the Christ, the Son of God,which should comeinto the world.

And when she hadsosaid, she went her way, andcalledMaryhersistersecretly,saying, The Master is come, and calleth forthee.

As soon assheheard that, she arosequickly,andcameuntohim.

NowJesuswas not yetcomeinto the town,butwasin that placewhereMarthamethim.

The Jewsthenwhichwerewithherin the house,andcomfortedher, when they sawMary,that she rose uphastilyand went out, followedher,saying*, She goethunto the gravetoweepthere.

ThenwhenMary was comewhereJesuswas, and sawhim, she fell downathisfeet,saying unto him,Lord,if thou hadst beenhere,mybrotherhadnotdied.

WhenJesusthereforesawherweeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit,and was troubled*,[a]

Andsaid, Where have ye laidhim? They said unto him,Lord,comeandsee.

Andsomeofthemsaid, Couldnot this man,whichopened the eyes of the blind, have causedthateven this manshouldnot have died?

Jesusthereforeagaingroaninginhimselfcomethto the grave*. It was a cave,and a stonelayuponit.

Jesussaid, Take ye away the stone.Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him,Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Jesussaith unto her,Said Inot unto thee,that,if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

Then they took away the stone from the place where the deadwaslaid. AndJesusliftedup his eyes,andsaid, Father, I thanktheethat thou hast heardme.

AndIknewthat thou hearestmealways:butbecause of the peoplewhich stand by I said it, that they may believethatthou hast sentme.

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loudvoice,Lazarus,comeforth.

And he that was dead came forth, boundhandandfoot with graveclothes:andhisface was bound about with a napkin.Jesussaith unto them,Loosehim,and let himgo.

Thenmanyof the JewswhichcametoMary,and had seen the things whichJesusdid, believedonhim.
