For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself;first the blade,then the ear, after that the fullcornin the ear.

Butwhen the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle,because the harvest is come.

And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God?orwithwhatcomparison shall we compareit?

It is like a grain of mustard seed,which,when it is sownin the earth, is less than all the seeds that bein the earth:

Butwhen it is sown, it groweth up, andbecometh greater thanallherbs,and shooteth outgreatbranches; so that the fowls of the airmaylodgeunder the shadow of it.

And with manysuchparables spake he the word unto them,as they were able to hear it.

Butwithout a parablespake he not unto them:and when they were alone*, he expounded all things to hisdisciples.

Andthesameday, when the even was come, he saith unto them,Let us pass overunto the other side.

And when they had sent away the multitude, they tookhim even as he wasin the ship.And there werealsowithhimother little ships.

And there arose a greatstorm of wind,and the wavesbeatinto the ship, so thatitwasnowfull.

Andhewasin the hinder part of the ship,asleepon a pillow:and they awakehim,andsay unto him,Master,carestthounotthat we perish?

And he arose, and rebuked the wind,andsaid unto the sea,Peace, be still.And the windceased, and there was a greatcalm.
