When our plans and dreams are blown away, it’s easy to lose direction. Dr. Tony Evans explains how God remains in control and how life’s storms can actually benefit us when we respond to Him.

What do you do when following the Lord gets hard? When problems arise and you find yourself struggling in ways you never imagined? The disciples faced those questions on the stormy sea of Galilee; and the lessons they learned there changed the way they followed Him.

In Matthew Chapter 14 we read about Jesus sending the disciples ahead of Him in a boat following the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. Following that miraculous experience, the disciples found themselves in a fierce storm and fearing for their lives, but Jesus showed up at the perfect time and not only calmed the sea but provided peace to all who were on the boat. Let’s learn more about this story and the real-life meaning there is for us from today’s message, Calm at the Center.

In continuing the series “Dare to Believe,” Pastor Jack Graham brings a message from one of the most exciting passages of Scripture – Matthew 14:22-33. In his message “Walk through the Storm,” Pastor Graham reminds us to get out of the boat, out of our comfort zone, and walk where Jesus walked.

When we’re in a stormy trial we can so easily settle into fear! We get our eyes on the circumstances and start to panic! But there’s a better way to go, and it’s pictured for us in Matthew chapter fourteen. Today on Light on the Hill pastor James Kaddis shows us how God wants to give us victory in times like these. He just wants us to keep our eyes on Him and choose faith over fear!

Let’s face it, many of us are consumed by fear today! We look at all that’s going on in our world, and it’s very easy for us to resort to that sort of thing. But in case you haven’t noticed when we capitulate to fear it destroys faith. That’s why we need to choose faith over fear! And God will give us the faith we need to overcome that fear. Today on Light on the Hill we’ll learn how to embrace faith over fear as we join pastor James Kaddis in Matthew chapter fourteen.
