Deuteronomy 14:22-23

22 "You ¹shall surely tithe all the produce from what you sow, which comes out of the field every year.

23 "You shall eat in the presence of the LORD your God, ²at the place where * He chooses to establish His name, the tithe of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and your flock, so that you may ³learn to fear the LORD your God always *.

INTRODUCTION TO DEUTERONOMY 14

In this chapter some cautions are given against the use of some rites and ceremonies in mourning for the dead, with the reason thereof, De 14:1,2 and instructions about what are lawful to be eaten, and what not, whether of beasts, fishes, or fowl, De 14:3-21, and concerning eating one sort of tithes both at the place God should choose, and within their own gates, De 14:22-29.
