2 Samuel 15:29

Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to
Jerusalem
That is, ordered it to be carried, and took care that it was carried, by the Kohathite Levites, and they themselves attended it:

and they tarried there;
at Jerusalem; though their two sons that went with them entered not into the city, but stayed at a place called Enrogel, at some little distance from it, ( 2 Samuel 17:17 ) .

27 El rey también le dijo al sacerdote Sadoc: «Mira,
este es mi plan. Tú y Abiatar
deben regresar a la ciudad sin llamar la atención junto con tu hijo Ahimaas y con Jonatán, el hijo de Abiatar.

28 Yo me detendré en los vados del río Jordán
y allí esperaré tu informe».

29 De este modo Sadoc y Abiatar devolvieron el arca de Dios a la ciudad y allí se quedaron.

30 Entonces David subió el camino que lleva al monte de los Olivos, llorando mientras caminaba. Llevaba la cabeza cubierta y los pies descalzos en señal de duelo. Las personas que iban con él también se cubrieron la cabeza y lloraban mientras subían el monte.

31 Cuando alguien le dijo a David que su consejero Ahitofel ahora respaldaba a Absalón, David oró: «¡Oh Señor
, haz que Ahitofel le dé consejos necios a Absalón!».
