6 Registrarán y saquearán
cada rincón y cada grieta de Edom.
Se llevarán hasta el último de los tesoros escondidos.

Obadiah 1:6

How are [the things] of Esau searched out!
&c.] Or how are the Esauites, the posterity of Esau, sought out! though they dwelt in the clefts of the rocks, and hid themselves in caves and dens, yet their enemies searched them, and found there, and plucked them out from thence, so that none escaped: [how] are his hid things sought up!
his riches, wealth and treasure, hid in fortresses, in rocks and caves, where they were thought to be safe, and judged inaccessible; or that an enemy would not have ventured in search of them there; and yet these should be sought after and found by the greedy, and diligent, and venturous soldier, and carried off; which was the case of the Edomites by the Chaldeans, and will be of the antichristian states by the kings of the earth, ( Revelation 17:16 ) ; see ( Jeremiah 49:10 ) .

4 pero aunque te remontes tan alto como las águilas
y construyas tu nido entre las estrellas,
te haré caer estrepitosamente»,
dice el Señor

5 «Si vinieran ladrones en la noche y te robaran,
(¡qué desastre te espera!)
no se llevarían todo.
Los que cosechan uvas
siempre dejan unas cuantas para los pobres.
¡Pero tus enemigos te aniquilarán por completo!

7 »Todos tus aliados se volverán contra ti
y ayudarán a expulsarte de tu tierra.
Te prometerán paz
mientras traman engañarte y destruirte.
Tus amigos de confianza te tenderán trampas
y ni siquiera te darás cuenta.

8 En aquel día ni una sola persona sabia
quedará en toda la tierra de Edom
—dice el Señor
—.
Pues destruiré en las montañas de Edom
a todos los que tengan entendimiento.
