Daniel 2:12

For this cause the king was angry, and very furious
Not only because they could not tell his dream, and the interpretation of it; but because they represented him as requiring a thing unreasonable and impossible, which had never been done by any potentate but himself, and could never be answered but by the gods: this threw him into an excess of wrath and fury; which in those tyrannical and despotic princes was exceeding great and terrible: and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon;
not only those that were now in his presence, but all others; concluding from this instance that they were an useless set of men, yea, deceivers and impostors.

10 Los astr贸logos respondieron al rey:
鈥斅o hay nadie en la tierra que pueda decirle al rey lo que so帽贸! 隆Y ning煤n rey, por grande y poderoso que sea, jam谩s pidi贸 tal cosa a sus magos, brujos o astr贸logos!
11 Es imposible cumplir con lo que el rey exige. Nadie, excepto los dioses, puede contar al rey su sue帽o, pero los dioses no habitan entre los hombres.
12 Cuando el rey oy贸 esto, se enfureci贸 y mand贸 a ejecutar a todos los sabios de Babilonia.
13 Entonces, debido al decreto del rey, enviaron hombres para que encontraran y mataran a Daniel y a sus amigos.
14 Cuando Arioc, comandante de la guardia real, lleg贸 a matarlos, Daniel manej贸 la situaci贸n con sabidur铆a y discreci贸n.
