6 Pero si me dicen lo que soñé y lo que significa, les daré muchos honores y regalos maravillosos. ¡Solo díganme lo que soñé y lo que significa!

Daniel 2:6

But if ye show the dream, and the interpretation thereof
Which he was extremely intent upon to know; and therefore makes use of every way to obtain it, first by threatenings, to terrify, and next by promises, to allure: ye shall receive of me gifts, and rewards, and great honour;
gold, silver, jewels, rich apparel, houses, lands, and great promotion to some of the highest places of honour, trust, and profit, in the kingdom, as Daniel afterwards had: therefore show me the dream, and the interpretation thereof;
at once, directly, without any more ado; for the king was impatient of it.

4 Entonces los astrólogos respondieron al rey en arameo:
—¡Que viva el rey! Cuéntenos el sueño y nosotros le diremos lo que significa.

5 Pero el rey respondió a los astrólogos:
—Les digo esto en serio. Si no me dicen lo que soñé y lo que significa, ¡los haré despedazar y convertiré sus casas en un montón de escombros!

6 Pero si me dicen lo que soñé y lo que significa, les daré muchos honores y regalos maravillosos. ¡Solo díganme lo que soñé y lo que significa!

7 Ellos volvieron a decirle:
—Por favor, su Majestad, cuéntenos el sueño y nosotros le diremos lo que significa.

8 El rey respondió:
—¡Ya sé lo que se proponen! Están tratando de ganar tiempo porque saben que hablo en serio cuando digo:
