Exodus 14:14

The Lord shall fight for you
By commanding the wind of the heavens, and the waves of the sea, and employing them against their enemies, and on their behalf; they being unarmed, and so not in a condition to fight for themselves, as well as they had no heart or spirit for it:

and ye shall hold your peace;
be still, and quiet, and easy in your minds, and forbear saying or doing anything; "be silent"; and neither express the fear and distress of their minds, by any mournful sounds, nor their joy of faith by shouts and huzzas; as they could not draw a sword, they were not so much as to blow a trumpet, and break a pitcher, and cry the sword of the Lord, and of Israel as they after did on another occasion, at least their posterity.

12 ¿No te dijimos que esto pasaría cuando aún estábamos en Egipto? Te dijimos: “¡Déjanos en paz! Déjanos seguir siendo esclavos de los egipcios. ¡Es mejor ser un esclavo en Egipto que un cadáver en el desierto!”.

13 Pero Moisés les dijo:
—No tengan miedo. Solo quédense quietos y observen cómo el Señor
los rescatará hoy. Esos egipcios que ahora ven, jamás volverán a verlos.

14 El Señor
mismo peleará por ustedes. Solo quédense tranquilos.

15 Israel escapa por el mar Rojo
Luego el Señor
le dijo a Moisés: «¿Por qué clamas a mí? ¡Dile al pueblo que se ponga en marcha!

16 Toma tu vara y extiende la mano sobre el mar. Divide las aguas para que los israelitas puedan pasar por en medio del mar, pisando tierra seca.
