Judges 20:20

And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin,
&c.] From the place where they were encamped:

and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight against them at
Gibeah;
not only against the inhabitants of Gibeah, but the children of Benjamin, that came to the defence of them; they formed, themselves in a line of battle, and prepared for an action.

18 Antes de la batalla, los israelitas fueron a Betel y le preguntaron a Dios:
—¿Cuál de las tribus debe ser la primera en atacar a la gente de Benjamín?
El Señor
contestó:
—Judá debe ir primero.

19 Entonces los israelitas salieron temprano a la mañana siguiente y acamparon cerca de Guibeá.

20 Después avanzaron hacia Guibeá para atacar a los hombres de Benjamín.

21 Pero los guerreros de Benjamín, que estaban defendiendo la ciudad, salieron y mataron ese día a veintidós mil israelitas en el campo de batalla.

22 Sin embargo, los israelitas se animaron unos a otros y otra vez tomaron sus posiciones en el mismo lugar donde habían luchado el día anterior.
