38 Un hombre de la multitud le exclamó:
—Maestro, te suplico que veas a mi hijo, el único que tengo.

Luke 9:38

And behold, a man of the company
One that was in the company, and among the multitude, that met him:

cried out;
with great vehemence and earnestness:

saying, Master;
doctor, or "Rabbi":

I beseech thee:
most humbly, for he was now on his knees:

look upon my son:
with pity and compassion, and help him:

for he is mine only child;
wherefore he was dear unto him, and he was greatly concerned for him, and earnestly desirous of his being restored to health; and this he mentions, to move the compassion of Christ.

36 Cuando la voz terminó de hablar, Jesús estaba allí solo. En aquel tiempo, no le contaron a nadie lo que habían visto.
37 Jesús sana a un muchacho endemoniado
Al día siguiente, después que bajaron del monte, una gran multitud salió al encuentro de Jesús.
38 Un hombre de la multitud le exclamó:
—Maestro, te suplico que veas a mi hijo, el único que tengo.
39 Un espíritu maligno sigue apoderándose de él, haciéndolo gritar. Le causa tales convulsiones que echa espuma por la boca; lo sacude violentamente y casi nunca lo deja en paz.
40 Les supliqué a tus discípulos que expulsaran ese espíritu, pero no pudieron hacerlo.
