Deuteronomy 15:13

And when thou sendest him out free from thee
When he discharged him from his servitude, and made him a free man:

thou shall not let him go away empty;
without anything to support himself, or to put himself in a way of business; he having in the time of his servitude worked entirely for his master, and so could not have got and saved anything for himself.

11 Gente pobre en esta tierra, siempre la habrá; por eso te ordeno que seas generoso con tus hermanos hebreos y con los pobres y necesitados de tu tierra.
12 »Si tu hermano hebreo, hombre o mujer, se vende a ti y te sirve durante seis años, en el séptimo año lo dejarás libre.
13 Y cuando lo liberes, no lo despidas con las manos vacías.
14 Abastécelo bien con regalos de tus rebaños, de tus cultivos y de tu lagar. Dale según el SEÑOR tu Dios te haya bendecido.
15 Recuerda que fuiste esclavo en Egipto, y que el SEÑOR tu Dios te dio libertad. Por eso te doy ahora esta orden.
