6 En este país morirán grandes y pequeños; nadie llorará por ellos, ni los sepultará; nadie se hará heridas en el cuerpo ni se rapará la cabeza por ellos.

Jeremiah 16:6

Both the great and the small shall die in this land
The nobles as well as the common people, high and low, rich and poor; none shall be exempted from the grievous deaths by the sword, famine, and pestilence. They shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them;
as before, ( Jeremiah 16:4 ) , this shall be the common case of them all; the great and the rich shall have no more care and notice taken of them than the poor: nor cut themselves;
their flesh, with their nails, or with knives, to show their grief for the dead, and to alleviate the sorrow of surviving friends, by bearing a part with them: nor make themselves bald for them;
by plucking off the hair of their heads, or by shaving them, and between their eyes; which though forbidden the Jews by the law of God, as being Heathenish customs, yet obtained in the times of Jeremiah, and were usually done; see ( Deuteronomy 14:1 ) .

4 «Morirán de enfermedades horribles. Nadie llorará por ellos, ni los sepultará; se quedarán sobre la faz de la tierra, como el estiércol. La espada y el hambre acabarán con ellos, y sus cadáveres servirán de alimento para las aves del cielo y para las bestias de la tierra».

5 Así dice el SEÑOR: «No entres en una casa donde estén de luto, ni vayas a llorar, ni los consueles, porque a este pueblo le he retirado mi paz, mi amor y mi compasión —afirma el SEÑOR—.

6 En este país morirán grandes y pequeños; nadie llorará por ellos, ni los sepultará; nadie se hará heridas en el cuerpo ni se rapará la cabeza por ellos.

7 Nadie ofrecerá un banquete fúnebre a los que estén de duelo, para consolarlos por el muerto, ni a nadie se le dará a beber la copa del consuelo, aun cuando quien haya muerto sea su padre o su madre.

8 »No entres en una casa donde haya una celebración, ni te sientes con ellos a comer y beber.
