15 E disse:“Bendito seja o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, que com sua mão cumpriu o que com sua própria boca havia prometido a meu pai, Davi, quando lhe disse:

1 Kings 8:15

And he said, blessed be the Lord God of Israel
All praise and glory, honour and blessing, be ascribed to the Lord; who had afresh shown himself to be Israel's covenant God, by taking up his residence among them in the temple he had filled with his glory:

which spake with his mouth to David my father, and hath with his hand
fulfilled it;
who graciously promised him he should have a son that should build an house for him, and which he had by his power and providence faithfully performed; or rather which spake concerning David, so Noldius ^F24; for God did not speak with his mouth to David, but to Nathan, of him: saying; as follows.

14 Depois o rei virou-se e abençoou toda a assembleia de Israel, que estava ali em pé.

15 E disse:“Bendito seja o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, que com sua mão cumpriu o que com sua própria boca havia prometido a meu pai, Davi, quando lhe disse:

16 ‘Desde o dia em que tirei Israel, o meu povo, do Egito, não escolhi nenhuma cidade das tribos de Israel para nela construir um templo em honra ao meu nome. Mas escolhi Davi para governar Israel, o meu povo’.

17 “Meu pai, Davi, tinha no coração o propósito de construir um templo em honra ao nome do SENHOR, o Deus de Israel.
