And Abiathar showed David that Saul had slain the Lord's
priests.
] Of which perhaps he had not as yet heard; though tidings of such a nature generally fly swiftly; and a sorrowful shocking account he had to give, and which was so to David.

21 e lhe contou que Saul havia matado os sacerdotes do SENHOR.
22 Então Davi disse a Abiatar: “Naquele dia, quando o edomita Doegue estava ali, eu sabia que ele não deixaria de levar a informação a Saul. Sou responsável pela morte de toda a família de seu pai.
23 Fique comigo, não tenha medo; o homem que está atrás de sua vida também está atrás da minha. Mas você estará a salvo comigo”.
