2 Samuel 18:7

Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of
David
That is, the people of Israel that were under Absalom, these were beaten by David's army:

and there was a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand [men];
including both those that fell in the field of battle, and that were slain in the pursuit; and this is to be understood only of Absalom's party.

6 O exército saiu a campo para enfrentar Israel, e a batalha aconteceu na floresta de Efraim,
7 onde o exĂ©rcito de Israel foi derrotado pelos soldados de Davi. Houve grande matança naquele dia, elevando-se o nĂșmero de mortos a vinte mil.
8 A batalha espalhou-se por toda a regiĂŁo e, naquele dia, a floresta matou mais que a espada.
9 Durante a batalha, Absalão, montado em sua mula, encontrou-se com os soldados de Davi. Passando a mula debaixo dos galhos de uma grande årvore, Absalão ficou preso nos galhos pela cabeça. Ficou pendurado entre o céu e a terra, e a mula prosseguiu.
