22 Esses foram os grandes feitos de Benaia, filho de Joiada, que tambĂ©m teve fama como os trĂȘs principais guerreiros de Davi.

2 Samuel 23:22

These [things] did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada
Slew a lion, and two lion-like men of Moab, and an Egyptian of a gigantic stature, ( 2 Samuel 23:20 2 Samuel 23:21 ) :

and had the name among three mighty men;
of which he was one, and Abishai another, the third Asahel, one of the thirty; or was over them, ( 2 Samuel 23:24 ) , since thirty are reckoned without him. Abarbinel thinks that the third was Adina, the son of Shiza, the Reubenite, ( 1 Chronicles 11:42 ) ; since thirty were with him, and he at the head of them.

20 Benaia, filho de Joiada, era um corajoso soldado de Cabzeel, que realizou grandes feitos. Matou dois dos melhores guerreiros de Moabe e, num dia de neve, desceu num buraco e matou um leĂŁo.
21 Também matou um egípcio de grande estatura. O egípcio tinha na mão uma lança, e Benaia o enfrentou com um cajado. Arrancou a lança da mão do egípcio e com ela o matou.
22 Esses foram os grandes feitos de Benaia, filho de Joiada, que tambĂ©m teve fama como os trĂȘs principais guerreiros de Davi.
23 Foi mais honrado do que qualquer dos Trinta, mas nunca igualou-se aos trĂȘs. E Davi lhe deu o comando da sua guarda pessoal.
24 Entre os Trinta estavam:Asael, irmão de Joabe;Elanã, filho de DodÎ, de Belém;
