8 Por isso o SENHOR nos tirou do Egito com mão poderosa e braço forte, com feitos temíveis e com sinais e maravilhas.

Deuteronomy 26:8

And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt
After some time:

with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm;
by his almighty power, of which full proof was given by what he then did, ( Deuteronomy 5:15 ) ;

and with great terribleness:
to Pharaoh and his people, through the plagues that were inflicted on them, especially the last, the slaying of their firstborn; see ( Deuteronomy 4:34 ) ;

and with signs and with wonders;
wrought by the hands of Moses and Aaron, meaning the ten plagues, often so called.

6 Mas os egípcios nos maltrataram e nos oprimiram, sujeitando-nos a trabalhos forçados.
7 Então clamamos ao SENHOR, o Deus dos nossos antepassados, e o SENHOR ouviu a nossa voz e viu o nosso sofrimento, a nossa fadiga e a opressão que sofríamos.
8 Por isso o SENHOR nos tirou do Egito com mão poderosa e braço forte, com feitos temíveis e com sinais e maravilhas.
9 Ele nos trouxe a este lugar e nos deu esta terra, terra onde há leite e mel com fartura.
10 E agora trago os primeiros frutos do solo que tu, ó SENHOR, me deste’. Ponham a cesta perante o SENHOR, o seu Deus, e curvem-se perante ele.
