1 Então o homem levou-me até a porta que dava para o leste,

Afterward he brought me to the gate
The dimensions of this wonderful building being finished, the prophet's divine guide brought him from the wall about it, he had last measured, to the gate he first had him to, after he had observed to him the same wall, ( Ezekiel 40:5 Ezekiel 40:6 ) : even the gate that looketh toward the east;
or, as the Targum, which was open to the way of the east. The reason of his being brought hither follows.

1 Então o homem levou-me até a porta que dava para o leste,

2 e vi a glória do Deus de Israel, que vinha do lado leste. Sua voz era como o rugido de águas avançando, e a terra refulgia com a sua glória.

3 A visão que tive era como a que eu tivera quando ele veio destruir a cidade e como as que eu tivera junto ao rio Quebar; e me prostrei com o rosto em terra.

4 A glória do SENHOR entrou no templo pela porta que dava para o lado leste.

5 Então o Espírito pôs-me em pé e levou-me para dentro do pátio interno, e a glória do SENHOR encheu o templo.
