Salmos 44:25

25 Fomos humilhados até o pó;nossos corpos se apegam ao chão.

Salmos 44:25 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 44:25

For our soul is bowed down to the dust
Which may signify great declension in spiritual things, much dejection of mind, and little exercise of grace, ( Psalms 119:25 ) ( Lamentations 3:29 ) ; or a very low estate in temporals; subjection to their enemies; they setting their feet upon their necks, and obliging them to lick the dust of them: and even it may signify nearness to death itself; see ( Joshua 10:24 ) ( Isaiah 49:23 ) ( Psalms 22:16 ) ;

our belly cleaveth to the earth;
as persons that lie prostrate, being conquered and suppliants.

23 Desperta, Senhor! Por que dormes?Levanta-te! Não nos rejeites para sempre.
24 Por que escondes o teu rostoe esqueces o nosso sofrimento e a nossa aflição?
25 Fomos humilhados até o pó;nossos corpos se apegam ao chão.
26 Levanta-te! Socorre-nos!Resgata-nos por causa da tua fidelidade.
