17 Poi presero Absalom, lo gettarono in una gran fossa nella foresta, ed elevarono sopra di lui un mucchio grandissimo di pietre; e tutto Israele fuggì, ciascuno nella sua tenda.

They took Absalom, threw him into a big pit in the forest and piled up a large heap of rocks over him. Meanwhile, all the Israelites fled to their homes.
