1 MA egli avverrà negli ultimi tempi che il monte della Casa del Signore sarà fermato in su la sommità dei monti, e sarà alzato sopra i colli; e i popoli accorreranno ad esso.

2 E molte genti andranno, e diranno: Venite, e saliamo al monte del Signore, ed alla Casa dell’Iddio di Giacobbe; ed egli ci ammaestrerà nelle sue vie, e noi cammineremo ne’ suoi sentieri; perciocchè la Legge uscirà di Sion, e la parola del Signore di Gerusalemme.

3 Ed egli farà giudicio fra molti popoli, e castigherà nazioni possenti, fin ben lontano; e quelle delle loro spade fabbricheranno zappe, e delle lor lance falci; l’una nazione non leverà più la spada contro all’altra, e non impareranno più la guerra.

4 Anzi sederanno ciascuno sotto alla sua vite, e sotto al suo fico; e non vi sarà alcuno che li spaventi; perciocchè la bocca del Signor degli eserciti ha parlato.

5 Poichè tutti i popoli camminano ciascuno nel nome dell’iddio suo, noi ancora cammineremo nel Nome del Signore Iddio nostro, in sempiterno.

6 In quel giorno, dice il Signore, io raccoglierò le pecore zoppe, e ricetterò le scacciate, e quelle che io avea afflitte;

7 e farò che le zoppe saranno per un riserbo, e che le allontanate diverranno una possente nazione; e il Signore regnerà sopra loro nel monte di Sion; da quell’ora fino in sempiterno.

8 E tu, torre della mandra, rocca della figliuola di Sion, quelle verranno a te; verrà parimente a te la dominazione antica, il regno della figliuola di Gerusalemme.

9 Ora, perchè dài tu di gran gridi? vi è egli alcun re in te? i tuoi consiglieri sono eglino periti, che dolore ti ha colta, come la donna che partorisce?

New International Version NIV

1 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.

2 Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

3 He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

4 Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the LORD Almighty has spoken.

5 All the nations may walk in the name of their gods, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.

6 “In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will gather the lame; I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief.

7 I will make the lame my remnant, those driven away a strong nation. The LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever.

8 As for you, watchtower of the flock, stronghold of Daughter Zion, the former dominion will be restored to you; kingship will come to Daughter Jerusalem.”

9 Why do you now cry aloud— have you no king ? Has your ruler perished, that pain seizes you like that of a woman in labor?
