GOD'S WORD Translation GW
1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
1
The LORD said to Moses,
2 "Command the children of Israel and say unto them: `My offering and My bread for My sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savor unto Me, shall ye observe to offer unto Me in their due season.'
2
"Give this command to the Israelites: Be sure to bring me my offerings at the right times. They are my food. They are offerings by fire, a soothing aroma.
3 And thou shalt say unto them: `This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD: two lambs of the first year without spot, day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
3
These are the offerings by fire that you must bring to the LORD. Every day you must bring as a daily burnt offering two one-year-old lambs that have no defects.
4 The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at evening,
4
Offer one in the morning and the other at dusk.
5 and a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering mingled with a fourth part of a hin of beaten oil.
5
[With each of them] also bring a grain offering of eight cups of flour mixed with one quart of virgin olive oil.
6 It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a sweet savor, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
6
This is the daily burnt offering which was established on Mount Sinai. This offering is a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.
7 And the drink offering thereof shall be a fourth part of a hin for the one lamb; in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering.
7
Also bring a wine offering of one quart of wine for each lamb. Pour it out to the LORD in a holy place.
8 And the other lamb shalt thou offer at evening; as the meat offering of the morning and as the drink offering thereof thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the LORD.
8
Offer the other lamb at dusk along with the same grain offering and wine offering as you brought in the morning. This is an offering by fire, a soothing aroma to the LORD.
9 "`And on the Sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and twotenths part of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof.
9
"On the day of worship offer two one-year-old lambs that have no defects, a grain offering of 16 cups of flour mixed with olive oil, and the wine offering that goes with it.
10 This is the burnt offering of every Sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering and his drink offering.
10
This burnt offering is for every day of worship in addition to the daily burnt offerings and the wine offerings that go with them.
11 "`And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD: two young bullocks and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;
11
"On the first of every month bring the LORD a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old lambs that have no defects.
12 and threetenths part of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and twotenths part of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram;
12
With each bull there will be a grain offering of 24 cups of flour mixed with olive oil, with each ram a grain offering of 16 cups of flour mixed with olive oil,
13 and a separate tenth part of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering unto one lamb, for a burnt offering of a sweet savor, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
13
and with each one-year-old lamb a grain offering of 8 cups of flour mixed with olive oil. This is a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.
14 And their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine unto a bullock, and a third part of a hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of a hin unto a lamb. This is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.
14
The wine offering that goes with each bull will be 2 quarts of wine, with each ram 1½ quarts of wine, and with each lamb 1 quart of wine. This will be the monthly burnt offering for every month of the year.
15 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, besides the continual burnt offering and his drink offering.
15
In addition to the daily burnt offering with its wine offering, one male goat must be offered to the LORD as an offering for sin.
16 "`And on the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of the LORD.
16
"The fourteenth day of the first month is the LORD's Passover.
17 And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.
17
The fifteenth of this same month is a pilgrimage festival. For seven days you must eat only unleavened bread.
18 On the first day shall be a holy convocation. Ye shall do no manner of servile work therein,
18
On the first day there will be a holy assembly. Don't do any regular work.
19 but ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD: two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year. They shall be unto you without blemish.
19
Instead, bring the LORD an offering by fire, a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old lambs, all of them without defects.
20 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: threetenths part shall ye offer for a bullock, and twotenths part for a ram,
20
Along with them bring grain offerings of flour mixed with olive oil. Bring 24 cups for each bull, 16 cups for each ram,
21 a separate tenth part shalt thou offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs;
21
and 8 cups for each of the seven lambs.
22 and one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you.
22
Also bring one male goat as an offering for sin to make peace with the LORD.
23 Ye shall offer these besides the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.
23
Offer these in addition to the morning burnt offering.
24 In this manner ye shall offer daily throughout the seven days the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the LORD. It shall be offered besides the continual burnt offering and his drink offering.
24
Bring all these offerings on each of the seven days. They are food. They are offerings by fire, a soothing aroma to the LORD. They will be offered in addition to the daily burnt offering and the wine offering that goes with it.
25 And on the seventh day ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work.
25
On the seventh day you must have a holy assembly. You must not do any regular work.
26 "`Also on the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have a holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work,
26
"During the Festival of Weeks, you must have a holy assembly. On that day you must not do any regular work. Bring the LORD your new grain offering, the first produce harvested from your fields.
27 but ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savor unto the LORD: two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year,
27
Bring a burnt offering as a soothing aroma to the LORD--two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old lambs.
28 and their meat offering of flour mingled with oil: threetenths part unto one bullock, twotenths part unto one ram,
28
Along with them bring grain offerings of flour mixed with olive oil. Bring 24 cups for each bull, 16 cups for each ram,
29 a separate tenth part unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs;
29
and 8 cups for each of the seven lambs.
30 and one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you.
30
Also bring one male goat to make peace with the LORD.
31 Ye shall offer them besides the continual burnt offering and his meat offering (they shall be unto you without blemish), and their drink offerings.
31
Offer these animals that have no defects along with their wine offerings, in addition to the daily burnt offerings and their grain offerings."
