1 La segunda Pascua<br />Un año después que Israel saliera de Egipto, el Señor<br /> le habló a Moisés en el desierto de Sinaí. El primer mes<br /> de ese año le dijo:

2 «Di a los israelitas que celebren la Pascua en el tiempo establecido:

3 al atardecer del día catorce del primer mes.<br /> Asegúrate de seguir todos mis decretos y todas mis ordenanzas acerca de esta celebración».

4 Entonces Moisés le dijo al pueblo que celebrara la Pascua

5 en el desierto de Sinaí, al atardecer del día catorce del primer mes. Allí celebraron el festival, así como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado a Moisés.

6 Sin embargo, algunos hombres estaban ceremonialmente impuros por haber tocado un cadáver, y por eso no podían celebrar la Pascua aquel día. Así que ese mismo día se acercaron a Moisés y a Aarón

7 y les dijeron:<br />—Hemos quedado ceremonialmente impuros por tocar un cadáver. Pero ¿por qué se nos debe impedir presentar la ofrenda del Señor<br /> en la debida fecha con el resto de los israelitas?

8 Moisés les contestó:<br />—Esperen aquí hasta que yo reciba del Señor<br /> las instrucciones para ustedes.

9 Esta fue la respuesta del Señor<br /> a Moisés:

10 «Da las siguientes instrucciones al pueblo de Israel: si alguien del pueblo, ya sea ahora o en las generaciones futuras, está ceremonialmente impuro en la fecha establecida para la Pascua por tocar un cadáver, o si está de viaje y no puede estar presente en la ceremonia, aun así podrá celebrar la Pascua del Señor<br />.

11 Esta persona ofrecerá el sacrificio de la Pascua un mes después, al atardecer del día catorce del segundo mes.<br /> Comerá el cordero de la Pascua con pan sin levadura y hierbas amargas.

12 No dejará nada del cordero para el día siguiente, ni quebrará ninguno de sus huesos, y debe seguir todas las ordenanzas de rigor acerca de la Pascua.

13 »Aquellos que no estén ceremonialmente impuros ni anden de viaje pero aun así dejen de celebrar la Pascua en la fecha establecida, serán excluidos de la comunidad de Israel. Si no presentan la ofrenda del Señor<br /> en la fecha debida, sufrirán las consecuencias de su culpa.

14 Y si el extranjero que vive entre ustedes quiere celebrar la Pascua del Señor<br />, debe seguir estos mismos decretos y ordenanzas. Las mismas leyes se aplican tanto a los israelitas de nacimiento como a los extranjeros que viven entre ustedes».

15 La nube de fuego<br />El día que se armó el tabernáculo, la nube lo cubrió.<br /> Pero desde la tarde hasta el amanecer la nube que cubría el tabernáculo tomaba la apariencia de una columna de fuego.

16 De esta manera ocurría siempre: por la noche la nube que cubría el tabernáculo tomaba la apariencia de fuego.

17 Cada vez que la nube se elevaba de la carpa sagrada, el pueblo de Israel levantaba el campamento y la seguía; donde la nube se detenía, el pueblo de Israel armaba el campamento.

18 De esta manera los israelitas viajaban y acampaban por orden del Señor<br />, donde él les indicaba que fueran. Permanecían en el campamento todo el tiempo que la nube se quedaba encima del tabernáculo.

19 Si la nube se quedaba por largo tiempo sobre el tabernáculo, los israelitas permanecían allí y llevaban a cabo sus deberes ante el Señor<br />.

20 Algunas veces la nube se detenía por pocos días sobre el tabernáculo; entonces el pueblo se quedaba por pocos días, como el Señor<br /> ordenaba. Luego, por orden del Señor<br />, levantaban el campamento y se ponían en marcha.

21 Algunas veces la nube se detenía solo por la noche y se elevaba a la mañana siguiente; pero fuera de día o de noche, cuando la nube se elevaba, el pueblo levantaba el campamento y se ponía en marcha.

22 Si la nube permanecía sobre el tabernáculo por dos días, un mes o un año, el pueblo de Israel acampaba y no se ponía en marcha; pero en cuanto se elevaba, ellos levantaban el campamento y se ponían en marcha.

23 Así que acampaban o viajaban bajo las órdenes del Señor<br /> y obedecían todo lo que el Señor<br /> les decía por medio de Moisés.

New International Version NIV

1 The LORD spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month of the second year after they came out of Egypt. He said,

2 “Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time.

3 Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations.”

4 So Moses told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover,

5 and they did so in the Desert of Sinai at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.

6 But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day

7 and said to Moses, “We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the LORD’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?”

8 Moses answered them, “Wait until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you.”

9 Then the LORD said to Moses,

10 “Tell the Israelites: ‘When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body or are away on a journey, they are still to celebrate the LORD’s Passover,

11 but they are to do it on the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

12 They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations.

13 But if anyone who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey fails to celebrate the Passover, they must be cut off from their people for not presenting the LORD’s offering at the appointed time. They will bear the consequences of their sin.

14 “ ‘A foreigner residing among you is also to celebrate the LORD’s Passover in accordance with its rules and regulations. You must have the same regulations for both the foreigner and the native-born.’ ”

15 On the day the tabernacle, the tent of the covenant law, was set up, the cloud covered it. From evening till morning the cloud above the tabernacle looked like fire.

16 That is how it continued to be; the cloud covered it, and at night it looked like fire.

17 Whenever the cloud lifted from above the tent, the Israelites set out; wherever the cloud settled, the Israelites encamped.

18 At the LORD’s command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp.

19 When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the LORD’s order and did not set out.

20 Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the LORD’s command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out.

21 Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out.

22 Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out.

23 At the LORD’s command they encamped, and at the LORD’s command they set out. They obeyed the LORD’s order, in accordance with his command through Moses.
