Hebrew Names Version HNV
The Message Bible MSG
1 Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in his mitzvot.
1

4

5 It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.
5
The good person is generous and lends lavishly;
6 For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.
6
No shuffling or stumbling around for this one, But a sterling and solid and lasting reputation.
7 He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
7
Unfazed by rumor and gossip, Heart ready, trusting in God,
8 His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.
8
Spirit firm, unperturbed, Ever blessed, relaxed among enemies,
9 He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.
9
They lavish gifts on the poor - A generosity that goes on, and on, and on. An honored life! A beautiful life!
10 The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of the wicked will perish.
10
Someone wicked takes one look and rages, Blusters away but ends up speechless. There's nothing to the dreams of the wicked. Nothing.
