1 Chantez à l'Eternel un cantique nouveau! Chantez à l'Eternel, vous tous, habitants de la terre!

Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Chantez à l'Eternel, bénissez son nom, Annoncez de jour en jour son salut!

Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Racontez parmi les nations sa gloire, Parmi tous les peuples ses merveilles!

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
4 Car l'Eternel est grand et très digne de louange, Il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux;

For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
5 Car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles, Et l'Eternel a fait les cieux.

For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
6 La splendeur et la magnificence sont devant sa face, La gloire et la majesté sont dans son sanctuaire.

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
7 Familles des peuples, rendez à l'Eternel, Rendez à l'Eternel gloire et honneur!

Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
8 Rendez à l'Eternel gloire pour son nom! Apportez des offrandes, et entrez dans ses parvis!

Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts.
9 Prosternez-vous devant l'Eternel avec des ornements sacrés. Tremblez devant lui, vous tous, habitants de la terre!

Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.
10 Dites parmi les nations: L'Eternel règne; Aussi le monde est ferme, il ne chancelle pas; L'Eternel juge les peuples avec droiture.

Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.
11 Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre soit dans l'allégresse, Que la mer retentisse avec tout ce qu'elle contient,

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 Que la campagne s'égaie avec tout ce qu'elle renferme, Que tous les arbres des forêts poussent des cris de joie,

Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
13 Devant l'Eternel! Car il vient, Car il vient pour juger la terre; Il jugera le monde avec justice, Et les peuples selon sa fidélité.

Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.
