Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come to you.
2 Não escondas de mim o teu rostoquando estou atribulado.Inclina para mim os teus ouvidos;quando eu clamar, responde-me depressa!

Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.
3 Esvaem-se os meus dias como fumaça;meus ossos queimam como brasas vivas.

For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers.
4 Como a relva ressequida está o meu coração;esqueço até de comer!

My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food.
5 De tanto gemer estou reduzido a pele e osso.

In my distress I groan aloud and am reduced to skin and bones.
6 Sou como a coruja do deserto,como uma coruja entre as ruínas.

I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.
7 Não consigo dormir;pareço um pássaro solitário no telhado.

I lie awake; I have become like a bird alone on a roof.
8 Os meus inimigos zombam de mim o tempo todo;os que me insultam usam o meu nome para lançar maldições.

All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse.
9 Cinzas são a minha comida,e com lágrimas misturo o que bebo,

For I eat ashes as my food and mingle my drink with tears
10 por causa da tua indignação e da tua ira,pois me rejeitaste e me expulsaste para longe de ti.

because of your great wrath, for you have taken me up and thrown me aside.
11 Meus dias são como sombras crescentes;sou como a relva que vai murchando.

My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.
12 Tu, porém, SENHOR, no trono reinarás para sempre;o teu nome será lembrado de geração em geração.

But you, LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations.
13 Tu te levantarás e terás misericórdia de Sião,pois é hora de lhe mostrares compaixão;o tempo certo é chegado.

You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.
14 Pois as suas pedras são amadas pelos teus servos,as suas ruínas os enchem de compaixão.

For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity.
15 Então as nações temerão o nome do SENHORe todos os reis da terra a sua glória.

The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.
16 Porque o SENHOR reconstruirá Siãoe se manifestará na glória que ele tem.

For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.
17 Responderá à oração dos desamparados;as suas súplicas não desprezará.

He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
18 Escreva-se isto para as futuras gerações,e um povo que ainda será criadolouvará o SENHOR, proclamando:

Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD:
19 “Do seu santuário nas alturas o SENHOR olhou;dos céus observou a terra,

“The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth,
20 para ouvir os gemidos dos prisioneirose libertar os condenados à morte”.

to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.”
21 Assim o nome do SENHOR será anunciado em Siãoe o seu louvor em Jerusalém,

So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem
22 quando os povos e os reinosse reunirem para adorar o SENHOR.

when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD.
23 No meio da minha vida ele me abateu com sua força;abreviou os meus dias.

In the course of my life he broke my strength; he cut short my days.
24 Então pedi:“Ó meu Deus, não me leves no meio dos meus dias.Os teus dias duram por todas as gerações!”

So I said: “Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days; your years go on through all generations.
25 No princípio firmaste os fundamentos da terra,e os céus são obras das tuas mãos.

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 Eles perecerão, mas tu permanecerás;envelhecerão como vestimentas.Como roupas tu os trocaráse serão jogados fora.

They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.
27 Mas tu permaneces o mesmo,e os teus dias jamais terão fim.

But you remain the same, and your years will never end.
28 Os filhos dos teus servos terão uma habitação;os seus descendentes serão estabelecidos na tua presença.

The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”
