See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads.
3 Com astúcia conspiram contra o teu povo;tramam contra aqueles que são o teu tesouro.

With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.
4 Eles dizem: “Venham, vamos destruí-los como nação,para que o nome de Israel não seja mais lembrado!”

“Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5 Com um só propósito tramam juntos;é contra ti que fazem acordo

With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you—
6 as tendas de Edom e os ismaelitas,Moabe e os hagarenos,

the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Gebal, Amom e Amaleque,a Filístia, com os habitantes de Tiro.

Byblos, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Até a Assíria aliou-se a eles,e trouxe força aos descendentes de Ló.

Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 que disseram:“Vamos apossar-nos das pastagens de Deus”.

13 Faze-os como folhas secas levadas no redemoinho, ó meu Deus,como palha ao vento.

Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like chaff before the wind.
14 Assim como o fogo consome a florestae as chamas incendeiam os montes,

As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 persegue-os com o teu vendavale aterroriza-os com a tua tempestade.

so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cobre-lhes de vergonha o rostoaté que busquem o teu nome, SENHOR.

Cover their faces with shame, LORD, so that they will seek your name.
17 Sejam eles humilhados e aterrorizados para sempre;pereçam em completa desgraça.

May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace.
18 Saibam eles que tu, cujo nome é SENHOR,somente tu, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.
