38 Allora il sacerdote Tsadok, il profeta Nathan, Benaia figliuolo di Jehoiada, i Kerethei e i Pelethei scesero, fecero montare Salomone sulla mula del re Davide, e lo menarono a Ghihon.

1 Kings 1:38

So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the
son of Jehoiada
The three men that David sent for on this occasion:

and the Cherethites and the Pelethites;
not the sanhedrim, as Ben Gersom, but David's guards, over whom Benaiah was: these

went down;
from Jerusalem;

and caused Solomon to ride upon King David's mule;
as he had ordered:

and brought him to Gihon;
or Siloah, as the Targum; hence the Jews say {e}, they do not anoint a king but at a fountain; but this is the only instance of it.

36 Benaia, figliuolo di Jehoiada, rispose al re: "Amen! Così voglia l’Eterno, l’Iddio del re mio signore!
37 Come l’Eterno è stato col re mio signore, così sia con Salomone, e innalzi il suo trono al di sopra del trono del re Davide, mio signore!"
38 Allora il sacerdote Tsadok, il profeta Nathan, Benaia figliuolo di Jehoiada, i Kerethei e i Pelethei scesero, fecero montare Salomone sulla mula del re Davide, e lo menarono a Ghihon.
39 Il sacerdote Tsadok prese il corno dell’olio dal tabernacolo e unse Salomone. Sonaron la tromba, e tutto il popolo disse: "Viva il re Salomone!"
40 E tutto il popolo risalì al suo séguito sonando flauti e abbandonandosi a una gran gioia, si che la terra rimbombava delle loro grida.
